On Thursday
12th June a Pasta Night was
held at the club for all our
junior teams including the
boys development squads. Over
120 people crammed in on a
cold winters night, and while
at times it was a bit tight
for space it was a successful
evening giving the opportunity
for the parents and kids from
different teams to get together
in a social environment.
The menu
for the evening comprised
of penne with meatballs and
napolitan sauce, fresh crusty
bread, apple strudel, waffles,
chocolate slice and lamingtons.
Quite a few bottles of red
wine were also consumed by
some of the parents.
Many thanks
go to the committee members
and a few mums who assisted
in the kitchen to cook and
serve over 15kg of pasta!
Special thanks go to club
sponsor Sal Barca from Sosta
Restaurant on Rundle Street
who prepared and cooked the
delicious meatballs and sauce.
Whilst not
the most extravagant of nights,
it has to be remembered that
these type of events are aimed
at making people feel welcome
at Fulham United and providing
a positive social environment
for the junior players. From
the amount of laughter and
noise that could be heard
throughout the night it would
be fair to say that these
aims were definately achieved.
